Return to the tiki lounge of yesteryear ! The Tiki is a vintage 1961 Northwest Coach camping travel trailer. The Tiki, with a second chance at life, was rescued and inspired by a 1950’s tiki lounge. Feel the tropic vibes with hints of bamboo palm walls & tiki torches. It offers a cozy full-size bed and seating for two, perfect for an intimate escape.
Bungalows of The Desert features a unique vintage trailer rental experience, conveniently located near downtown Borrego Springs. Our communal area includes a lounge, coffee station, fire pit, and bathroom facilities.
You’ll be just a short walk or bike ride from the charming town of Borrego Springs, where you can explore seasonal shops and dining options. Enjoy stargazing and a distinctive vintage trailer experience under the night sky.
Amenities include beach cruisers, coffee, a propane heater, linens, and access to the communal fire pit and outdoor seating. Please note that our vintage trailers remain on-site and do not offer showers or a fully functional kitchen. They also do not have direct electrical connections; instead, they use battery-operated lights. The communal lounge is available 24/7, features a charging station, Wi-Fi, TV (with limited streaming options), restroom access (without shower), fridge, and microwave.
This adults-only location is not ideal for those with sensitive hearing or who are uncomfortable with shared spaces. It is situated near a main road.
Guests are expected to adhere to shared space rules.
